Flowers Are Just Our Beginning!
Brothers, Cecil, Bonnie, and Frank Collins, opened the doors to Georgia State Wholesale Florist on June 1, 1954 with the goal of providing the Augusta area with premium cut flowers and supplies. Sons, Len, Darrell, and Pat continue to uphold that same standard, today. Even though the process of sourcing flowers and logistics has changed dramatically since 1954, our dedication "to ensure lasting impressions through exceptional products and services" has not.
Due to customer support, our facility has grown from 1,200 sq.ft to 38,000 sq.ft in Augusta and recently opened a 15,000 sq. ft facility in Savannah. Over the years, we have responded to market changes by increasing our space dedicated to fresh flowers. And by developing relationships with many acclaimed growers, this has awarded us exclusivity in our market area. As a member of Americana, Inc., GSFD is privileged to be a part of one of America's largest floral distributors. Our membership pays dividends in buying power that benefits our customers. Americana's Farm Direct Program adds value by offering our customers the opportunity to bypass Miami importers to procure fresher flowers that are shipped via the "cool chain". In addition to sourcing from the best growers, we ensure our flowers last longer by employing industry care and handling standards.
Besides fresh flowers and greens, we stock an extensive line of floral supplies and event accessories. We keep interior updated with the arrivals of new products. We offer promotions, and design classes that help our customers stay on top of their game.
As a local family owned business, GSFD strives to support our local businesses, civic clubs, churches, and charities. And as much as everyone goes virtual, we prefer to be personal. With our collective 600 plus years of floral experience, we feel we have a lot to offer you. So, pay us a visit or give us a call. We want to build a relationship with you.
